Communications. The content of emails, text messages, chat messages, contact form submissions, marketplace and social media messages, voicemails, and phone conversations (which may be recorded or monitored where we notify you and where permitted by law), along with feedback, product reviews, warranty claims, damage or shortage reports, and returns or exchange requests.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, screen resolution, language and region preferences, and referring or exit URLs.
- Usage data: pages and product listings viewed, collections browsed, search terms entered on the Site, items added to or removed from your cart, time spent on pages, clicks, scroll behavior, and abandoned carts.
- Transaction and session data: session identifiers, checkout progress, and order confirmation events.
- Approximate location: derived from your IP address, used for shipping estimates, store-locator functionality, and regional content.
We collect this information using cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, software development kits, and similar technologies. See Section 8.
3.3 Payment Information
Payments made on the Site are processed by third-party payment providers, including Shopify Payments and any other processors or digital wallets we may offer, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. When you pay online, your card or account number is transmitted directly to the processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We typically receive only the last four digits, the card brand, the authorization result, and the billing name and address.
For in-store and phone purchases, payment is processed through our point-of-sale or virtual terminal provider.
3.4 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:
- Shopify, which hosts the Site and provides our commerce, checkout, analytics, and customer account infrastructure;
- Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers, including risk scores and verification results;
- Synchrony Bank, which notifies us of the approval status and available credit line for financing applications, as described in Section 4;
- Shipping, freight, and LTL carriers, including delivery status, delivery exceptions, proof of delivery, and address corrections;
- Installers, measurement services, and contractors you engage or that we refer, where relevant to your project;
- Manufacturers and suppliers, in connection with warranty claims, defect reports, and special orders;
- Advertising and analytics partners, including audience and campaign performance data;
- Marketplaces and social platforms, including OfferUp, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, when you message us, respond to a listing, or interact with our content;
- Publicly available sources and business databases, primarily for trade and commercial accounts; and
- Your contractor, designer, or family member, if they place an order or request a quote on your behalf. If you provide someone else's information to us, you confirm you have the right to do so.
3.5 Information Collected at Our Showrooms
When you visit one of our locations, we collect the information you provide to a sales associate (as described above), records of samples loaned or provided to you, and footage from video security cameras, which are in operation at all of our showroom and warehouse locations.
We use camera footage for loss prevention, investigating incidents and accidents, and the safety and security of our customers, employees, and property. Footage is not used for marketing, facial recognition, biometric identification, or tracking individual customers. Access is limited to authorized management and, where appropriate, law enforcement or our insurers in connection with a specific incident. Signage is posted at our locations.
3.6 Sensitive Information
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, or information revealing race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, immigration status, or union membership. Please do not send us this information.
If a transaction genuinely requires a limited category of it — for example, a tax exemption certificate containing a business tax identification number — we collect only what is necessary. Credit applications requiring a Social Security number are submitted directly to Synchrony Bank and are not collected or retained by us. See Section 4.
4. Financing Through Synchrony Bank
We offer consumer financing through Synchrony Bank, an independent financial institution. If you apply for a Synchrony credit account in one of our showrooms or through a link we provide:
- Your application information, including your Social Security number, date of birth, income, and other credit application data, is collected by and submitted directly to Synchrony Bank. We do not collect, view, or store that information.
- Synchrony acts as an independent controller of that information and handles it under its own privacy notice and its Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy disclosures, which Synchrony provides to you during the application process. Synchrony's practices, including any information-sharing opt-outs it offers, are governed by those notices and not by this policy.
- Synchrony may notify us of the outcome of your application — for example, whether you were approved and the credit line available for your purchase — so we can complete your order.
- Your account terms, billing, statements, disputes, and customer service for the credit account itself are handled by Synchrony.
If you have questions about how Synchrony handles your information, please contact Synchrony directly or review the privacy notice provided with your application or account agreement.

6. Legal Bases for Processing (Applicable to Visitors in the EEA or UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: to perform a contract with you (fulfilling orders and quotes); our legitimate interests (running and improving our business, marketing to existing customers, security and fraud prevention); your consent (non-essential cookies and certain marketing); and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Note that our sales, shipping, and services are directed to customers in the United States.
7. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement. Automated tools may flag transactions as potentially fraudulent, but a member of our team reviews flagged orders before we cancel or decline them. Credit decisions are made by Synchrony Bank under its own processes and disclosures.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following categories of technologies on the Site:
| Category | Purpose | Providers |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core functionality: cart contents, checkout, login sessions, security, fraud screening, and load balancing. The Site cannot function properly without these. | Shopify (_shopify_s, _shopify_y, cart, secure_customer_sig) |
| Performance and analytics | Help us understand traffic, popular products, and where visitors encounter problems. | Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics |
| Functional | Remember preferences such as region, currency, language, and recently viewed items. | Shopify localization and preference cookies |
| Advertising and targeting | Measure campaign performance and show you relevant ads on other sites, apps, and social platforms. | Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Pinterest Tag, TikTok Pixel |
Your cookie choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break cart and checkout functionality. You can also opt out of certain interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org, and your device's advertising settings, such as "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS or "Ads privacy" on Android. You can adjust ad personalization directly with each platform through your Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest, and TikTok account settings.
Global Privacy Control. We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser transmitting it.
Do Not Track. Standard browser "Do Not Track" signals are not uniformly interpreted across the industry, and we do not currently respond to them separately from GPC.
9. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information in the following circumstances:
Service providers and processors. We share information with vendors that perform services for us and are permitted to use it only for those services, including:
- E-commerce platform and hosting: Shopify
- Payment processing and fraud prevention: Shopify Payments and other processors and gateways
- Shipping, freight, and delivery: parcel carriers, LTL freight carriers, and delivery contractors
- Installation, measurement, and fabrication partners, where you request those services
- Email marketing platforms
- Analytics and advertising providers
- Customer support, review, and communication tools
- Accounting, tax, insurance, banking, and professional advisors
Synchrony Bank. As described in Section 4, where you apply for financing.
Manufacturers and suppliers. For special orders, warranty claims, defect investigations, and drop-shipped items, we share the information necessary to complete the order or resolve the claim.
Advertising and marketplace partners. As described in Sections 8 and 10, we share online identifiers, browsing activity, and in some cases hashed contact information with Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, Pinterest, and TikTok to serve and measure advertising and to build audiences. We also share listing and transaction information with OfferUp in connection with products we list there.
At your direction. If you ask us to coordinate with your contractor, designer, builder, or property manager, we will share order and project details with them.
Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as a business asset.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information, including security camera footage, where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with applicable law, subpoenas, court orders, or government requests; to enforce our terms and agreements; to collect amounts owed; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Soni Interiors, our customers, our employees, or the public; or in connection with an investigation of suspected fraud, theft, or illegal activity.
With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.
We do not rent or sell your name, address, or contact information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
10. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
However, several state privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," and "targeted advertising" broadly enough to include our use of advertising pixels, which transmit identifiers and browsing activity to advertising platforms. We run advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, Pinterest, and TikTok, and we list products on OfferUp. To the extent this constitutes a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable law, you may opt out at any time.
Categories of personal information disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising:
| Category | Examples | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Cookie IDs, device IDs, IP address, hashed email address | Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok |
| Commercial information | Products viewed, items added to cart, purchases, order value | Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok |
| Internet activity | Pages visited, referring URLs, on-site search terms, session behavior | Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok |
| Inferences | Audience and interest segments derived from the above | Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok |
How to opt out:
- Visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, linked in the footer of every page on the Site;
- Enable the Global Privacy Control in a supported browser or extension;
- Email support@soniinteriors.com or call (407) 636-8723; or
- Adjust cookie settings in your browser and ad personalization settings with each platform.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
11. Marketing Communications and Your Choices
Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing message, or by contacting us. We will honor your request promptly. You will continue to receive transactional messages about orders you have placed.
Text messages. We do not currently operate a marketing text message program. If you provide a mobile number in connection with an order, we or our delivery partners may text you about that specific order — for example, to schedule or confirm a delivery. If we launch a marketing text program in the future, it will require your separate express written consent, and we will update this policy before doing so.
Phone calls. If you prefer not to receive marketing calls from us, tell any member of our team or contact us using the details below.
Postal mail. Contact us to be removed from any mailing list.
Cookies and ads. See Sections 8 and 10.
12. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. In general:
| Type of information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | At least 7 years, to meet tax, accounting, and warranty obligations |
| Customer account information | For as long as your account is active, plus 2 years of inactivity |
| Quote requests and project details | 24 months from last activity, unless they lead to an order |
| Marketing contact lists | Until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not contact you again |
| Website analytics and advertising data | Typically 14 to 26 months, depending on the provider |
| Customer service correspondence | 3 years |
| Security camera footage | 30 days, unless retained for an active investigation, claim, or legal matter |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it in a way that does not permit re-identification.
13. How We Protect Your Information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of the Site in transit (HTTPS), PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing through our providers, access controls limiting employee access to what their role requires, restricted access to security camera systems, staff training, and vendor due diligence.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Know / Access — Confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy, including the categories collected, sources, purposes, and recipients.
- Delete — Request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction, warranty and tax obligations, security, and legal compliance.
- Correct — Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Portability — Receive a copy of your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Opt out — Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
- Limit use of sensitive information — Where applicable.
- Non-discrimination — We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.
- Appeal — If we decline your request, you may appeal our decision in states that provide this right.
How to Submit a Request
Email support@soniinteriors.com, call (407) 636-8723, or write to us at the address in Section 20. Please state which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate your records, such as the email address, phone number, or order number associated with your purchases.
Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request, generally by matching the details you provide against our records and, where necessary, by asking you to confirm from the email address on file. We may decline requests we cannot reasonably verify.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may ask the agent for written proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Timing. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, with one extension where permitted and where we notify you. Opt-out requests are honored within 15 business days.
State-Specific Notes
California. California residents have the rights above under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, where applicable. California's "Shine the Light" law permits residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; you may make that request at the contact details in Section 20.
Florida. Florida residents may have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights. Its core controller obligations apply only to businesses meeting a very high revenue threshold, which we do not meet; we nonetheless honor the requests described above from Florida residents as a matter of practice.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws: residents may exercise the rights their state law provides, including appeal rights where available.
We honor these requests from all customers regardless of state, so long as we can verify the request.
15. Third-Party Links, Embeds, and Social Media
The Site may link to or embed content from third parties, including manufacturer specification sheets, installation guides, review widgets, mapping services, video players, and social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok. We also maintain listings and profiles on marketplaces and social platforms, including OfferUp.
Those parties collect information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Interacting with an embedded feature may allow that party to collect information about your visit even if you do not click. If you contact us through a marketplace or social platform, that platform can see your message and account information. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing information.
16. Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
17. Users Located Outside the United States
We are based in the United States, and our services and shipping are directed to customers in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
18. Accessibility
We are committed to making this policy accessible. If you need this Privacy Policy in an alternative format, please contact us using the details below and we will provide it.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site or an email to subscribers. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
